The flag design symbolizes Gold Canyon and the Superstition Wilderness within Pinal County  
The diamond shape is symbolic of the Superstition Wilderness. The green lower half of the diamond represents the green sonoran deserts that blanket the base of the Superstition Mountains.
The gold and burgundy star is symbolic of Gold Canyon.
The silhouette of the burgundy Superstition Mountains and the howling coyote in the setting sun is symbolic of the abundant wildlife within the Superstition Wilderness and the spectacular sunsets that make the Superstition Mountains come to life.
The blue sky and crescent moon is symbolic of the November 8, 2003 total lunar eclipse which loomed over the Superstition Mountains from 4:30p.m. - 8: 05p.m.

A.D.O.B.E. (Association for the Development Of a Better Environment) has as its purpose to gather and disseminate to its membership information pertaining to any public, private, governmental, commercial or developmental activities that may affect the present or future character of environment of the community; and to serve as a conduit between those entities and the membership.

Meetings of A.D.O.B.E. are held on the THIRD Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. from September through April, at Gold Canyon Best Western. Notice of the meetings are published in the Community Calendar. An A.D.O.B.E. Family membership is only $20.00 per year.
