SELECTED LECTURES, SEMINARS, AND COURSES
being offered by
Guntram F. A. Werther, Ph.D.
Bio:
Dr, Guntram Werther earned his doctorate from
Washington University in St. Louis (1990), where his dissertation was defended
"with distinction"; being also twice nominated as the best work in the field of
comparative politics nationally (USA). His 1992 comparative study of the various
conflict styles and mirroring management approaches of governments dealing with
ethnic self-determination movements was reviewed as the best work in its field.
It was evaluated by the Australian Journal of International Affairs as among the
best publications on the subject of ethnic conflict then available
internationally.
Since 1992, Dr. Werther has lectured extensively at the senior executive levels
of Fortune 100/500 firms, was Keynote Speaker at the Opening Ceremonies of
Lucent Technologies, the Agilent 2000 Business Intelligence Forum, and at
similar venues worldwide; particularly with AT&T, Rockwell International, Lucent
Technologies, and the Intrados Group.
Dr. Werther has also lectured senior officers representing European and North
American militaries at Ministry of Defense level programs. He is a Fellow of the
Inter-University Seminar on Armed Forces and Society (USA), and maintains
memberships with ERGOMAS (European Working Group on Military and Society), CASIS
(Canadian Association for Security and Intelligence Studies), and is on the
military studies graduate faculty at a European university with representation
at director and senior officer levels across numerous militaries; including the
USA's National Defense University.
His area of research and consulting specialization is in predicting emerging
trends and patterns of international change. Current work on "profiling
international change processes" uses a multi-disciplinary, comparative, and
socio-psychologically grounded approach to understanding how change happens
within and among different societies. This unique approach has permitted the
correct evaluation of market shifts (and collapses), emerging conflict patterns,
processes, and outcomes within and among countries, and the timely understanding
of developing trends within a number of world regions.
Dr. Werther teaches graduate level international political economics,
international business, and several regional cross-cultural courses in Arizona,
is a Faculty Leader at the Penn State Executive Program, and has developed a
variety of corporate and university-based programs for international clients,
most recently in India and Europe.

particular countries and / or regions based upon "Profiling International
Change Processes" techniques.

within larger corporations have also sponsored seminars.
